2023 Tournament Team Registration
Hello Softball Families!
The Southern Door Youth Softball organization is preparing for the 2023 season. Registration for 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U tournament teams is now open! If your daughter is only planning on playing in the 2023 summer league, but NOT in the 2023 tournament team, you do not need to register yet. The 2023 summer league registration will open up in February.
What is the Tournament Team? The tournament team is a more competitive level of play than summer league. These teams generally travel to nearby cities, within 75 miles, to play other school tournament teams. Tournament team players must also play on the summer league team unless they have aged out of league (only applicable to 14U sophomores and 16U). Tournaments are held on the weekends, while league is held on weeknights. The number of tournaments and dates are to be determined by the respective coaches, but we generally participate in 3-5 tournaments from May-July.
Each coach has discretion on their team size with the maximum team size consisting of 12 athletes. As such, tryouts may be necessary and will take place in April 2023 on an as needed basis. Refunds will be issued should any cuts be made.
Deadline for registration is NOVEMBER 30, 2022. Late registrations are discouraged and may or may not be approved based on team size.
