MENTAL WELLNESS KITS

Hello Southern Door Families,

Door County schools have a partnership with United Way of Door County and they received a grant to distribute Mental Wellness Kits to all Elementary students in Door County Public Schools.

The purpose of these kits is to give youth tools that will help them manage their mental wellness. The tools are meant to be used if your child is feeling upset, frustrated, sad, or stressed to help them regulate and express themselves in a healthy way.

Items in Kit:

     Creative Drawing Journal

Calm Down Jar (assembly required but fun activity for youth)

     Coloring Book

     Box of crayons

     Kinetic Sand

Not all tools will be useful for each child so it is important to test out all the tools within the kit.

Southern Door thanks United Way of Door County for the distribution of these helpful Mental Wellness kits for our Elementary students.

If you have any questions regarding the kits please contact Ms. VanBrunt (School Counselor)  [email protected] or phone  920-825-7321 EXT 1108
