Southern Door Community Trail
Come explore the Southern Door Campus on our one (wheelchair accessible) or two-mile walking/running trail. The two-mile trail extends around the campus into the school forest. Enjoy all the campus has to offer such as our beautiful pond, Waniger School, nature center, Sugar shack, track/football field and the beautiful foliage and wildlife (you may be greeted by many deer). Along the way, you will encounter several exercise stations to add a little excitement to your walk or run as well as a Frisbee golf course. During winter months, the trail is open for skiing, snow shoeing or hiking.
The community trail was completed in 2013. This project was funded through grants and donations from local businesses. The trail is open 7 days a week. Dogs are welcome but need to be on a leash at all times (No animals on the trail during school hours). Please respect the trail and kindly pick up after your pet. Pedal bikes are allowed but all motorized vehicles are prohibited.
