Peer Model Program Applications
for the 2026-2027 School Year
are now open!
Southern Door is seeking a limited number of typically developing children to join our Early Childhood Special Education program as peer role models for the 2026-27 school year! Our goal is that the addition of these peers will help to build language, social, and play skills within the classroom, while developing long lasting friendships. Peer Models must be 3-4 years old, a resident of Southern Door County School District or the child/grandchild of a Southern Door County School District staff member, and not yet enrolled in school. A morning or afternoon session will be offered 4 days per week. Please note that Morning spots are extremely limited, and therefore preference may be given to applicants who are able to attend the Afternoon session. Standard Elementary Materials Fees apply; and as no public school funds are allocated to the peer model program, we are requesting an additional $100 tuition to help cover costs. Parents must provide daily transportation for their child to and from school.
